The American Literary West
David Rio, general series editor
This series encourages new perspectives on western American literature, offering as diverse and rich a picture of current research on western writing as possible. It addresses theoretical and practical aspects of the West as a pluralistic literary space, including its multicultural broadening, its international dimension, and its connection with other artistic realms. We particularly invite specialists of western American studies to consider the literary representation of the complex interaction between the mythic dimension of the West and its real historical, social, and cultural features. The series also encourages scholarship which focuses on neglected or overlooked stories about this region and its writers.
